Mindfulness & Mental Well-being Trainer & Clinical Mental Health Therapist
Michelle is a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, Mindfulness and Mental Well-being Practitioner, and Trainer with a deep commitment to activating human potential and fostering sustainable transformation. A survivor of an eating disorder, Michelle often draws from her personal journey of navigating mental health challenges while balancing the demands of a high-pressure career. Her lived experience continues to inform her practice, helping others feel seen, empowered, and capable of lasting change.
Michelle began her professional life in the world of communications, marketing, and corporate events. Over time, her growing passion for mental health led her to transition into mental health and mindfulness-based work. This shift gave her a unique lens—one that understands the intensity of corporate life while holding space for the tender, complex process of inner healing. Today, Michelle integrates science-backed methods with a deep emphasis on self-compassion, emotional resilience, and personal agency. Her approach supports individuals and teams in building psychological safety, navigating life transitions, and reconnecting with what truly matters.
Having completed her Master’s in Counselling, Michelle continues to deepen her clinical foundation and broaden her capacity to support others. She has trained in several of the world’s most respected well-being programs, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at UC San Diego, Search Inside Yourself (SIYLI), and Mindful Self-Compassion. Michelle is also a certified NLP Practitioner, a Mindful Schools Facilitator, a TetraMap Facilitator, and holds advanced certification in perinatal psychotherapy. In addition, she is trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and is a vocal advocate for suicide awareness and prevention, working to reduce stigma and increase access to life-affirming support.
In her work at Rebalance, Michelle partners with schools, corporations, and community organizations to offer mental well-being and leadership programs. She serves on the Associate Faculty at Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technological University, and is a registered facilitator with the Ministry of Education. Across these settings, she equips individuals—from students to professionals—with the tools to cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and sustainable well-being.
A certified 300-hour yoga teacher and retreat leader, Michelle also curates integrative, restorative experiences that weave mindfulness, movement, and connection. She is especially passionate about supporting parents and underserved communities, walking alongside them through pivotal seasons of growth, identity shifts, and healing. Michelle’s mission is grounded in compassion and possibility: to help others rediscover their strengths, create space for healing, and thrive—not in spite of life’s challenges, but through them.
