Trauma-informed Somatic & Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist
A Trauma-informed Somatic Therapist and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Yock Theng, invites clients back home to their bodies through supportive touch, verbal cues, and inquiry. She supports clients in deepening their awareness, relationship, and sense of safety with mind-body through non-judgmental curiosity and compassion.
Having completed Trauma-Informed Relational Somatics (TIRS) 1 and 2, Yock Theng is deepening her bodywork training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy through Body Intelligence. She has also undertaken training in other body-oriented modalities such as Body-Mind Centering and Neuro-Affective Touch. A certified yoga teacher, she has also facilitated small-group somatic inquiry sessions. Her additional training includes career coaching, survivor support, and suicide prevention.
Yock Theng found her way to somatic work through her own experience of mind-body integration. Having lived a very mind-driven life, somatic work helped her reconnect with her body, inviting greater body-mind awareness and ability to resource. She explored how embodiment could be woven into the fabric of our lived experiences to support resolution and well-being in her Master’s thesis in 2018. Her warmth and inviting presence invite clients to open up and explore their inner landscape without reservation. Through her compassionate guidance, Yock Theng gently navigates the depths of her clients’ experiences, fostering a safe space for healing and self-discovery.
Yock Theng provides one-on-one sessions to clients who are traversing significant life transitions. These transitions encompass navigating change-related, seeking alignment between evolving professional and personal inclinations and present realities, managing boundaries, addressing violations, and those who wish to deepen their relationship with their bodies. She believes that tending to ourselves supports collective flourishing by enabling us to be more attuned to and capable of supporting others.
