Certified TRE® Practitioner & Provider
Yvonne is a trained and certified TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) practitioner, aromatherapist, and advocate for those living with chronic pain. Her journey with chronic pain has been deeply personal, spanning over 15 years during which she has navigated recurring infections, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, hives, and was later diagnosed with schwannoma tumour, syringomyelia, and fibromyalgia. Yvonne’s health challenges intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading her to seek a broader range of support options.
When conventional treatments provided limited relief, Yvonne began exploring complementary therapies to manage her symptoms and improve her quality of life. This exploration, born out of necessity, evolved into a process of learning, curiosity, and persistence. Through her journey, she encountered various body-based practices and eventually discovered TRE® — a modality she found accessible and personally supportive in regulating her nervous system and easing physical tension.
Today, Yvonne views nervous system regulation as an important, though often under-recognized, aspect of chronic illness management. She believes that approaches like TRE® can complement various holistic and allied health care by offering additional tools for building resilience and supporting overall wellbeing.
Alongside her work with TRE®, Yvonne deepened her understanding of holistic healing by training and obtaining certification in aromatherapy through the Aromahead Institute. She uses evidence-based techniques in her daily life to ease discomfort of her symptoms and reduce the frequency of infections that once plagued her. Her interest in holistic care also led her to complete Reiki Level 1 training and participate in craniosacral therapy workshops.
Formerly a regional sales executive focused on meeting targets, Yvonne is now driven by a deeper passion: exploring the science and potential of body-mind healing modalities. Her personal experiences, including medical gaslighting and the stigma surrounding invisible illnesses, have fueled her dedication to advocating for those living with chronic pain. Yvonne is committed to raising awareness and fostering greater social support for this often-overlooked community.
Yvonne believes that integrative and somatic approaches deserve greater recognition as part of a broader, multidisciplinary landscape of support. Her hope is that those navigating chronic illness can access more options, more understanding, and more pathways toward meaningful relief.
