Clinical Mental Health & Trauma-informed Somatic Therapist

Sol Therapy - Eleanor Lim

As a Clinical Mental Health & Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapist, Eleanor sees every individual as a whole. She believes that within each of us lies an innate capacity to heal, integrate and grow. She supports people through life’s challenges by gently guiding them back to themselves – their inner resources and body’s wisdom – so they can heal, embody their experience, and move forward with awareness and compassion.

Grounded in trauma-informed care, her approach is holistic, integrative, and heart-centered. She weaves somatic-based practices with cognitive strategies to support healing across mind, body, and soul. In her therapy space, she values safety, genuine connection, attunement, and collaboration. She holds close a deep sense that healing unfolds in the presence of safety, compassion, and attuned witnessing, where all parts of who we are and our experience can be seen, held, and understood. She believes in meeting people where they are through empathy, curiosity, and compassion.

Eleanor has had the opportunity to walk alongside clients through life’s complexities – work burnout, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, self-discovery, life transitions, and more. Her experience in psychotherapy and approaches including Somatic Experiencing® (SE), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and hypnotherapy shapes her practice to help clients explore their experiences on multiple levels.

She supports clients in cultivating embodiment through evidence-informed practices such as body awareness, nervous system regulation, cognitive exploration, breathwork, and mindfulness; tailored to each person’s unique needs. A professional member of the International Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (ICIP), Eleanor is deeply drawn to the body’s innate wisdom in trauma and self-healing and continues advancing her skills in Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and other body-based modalities.

Her journey into this work began five years ago, at the start of COVID, when moments of inner awakening, personal healing, and psychotherapy studies aligned in a timely and meaningful way. Years of navigating internal battles, seeking depth and alignment, have gradually brought her back to herself and to this path.

For Eleanor, this path is as much personal as professional, as she continues learning and relearning through every person she sits with. Through lived experience, deep values in compassion and wholeness, and committed spiritual practice, she continues to answer a quiet calling – to support others in rediscovering their own beingness, as she has hers.
