Psychotherapist (Practicum)
Stephenie is a Psychotherapist-in-Training with a foundation in clinical psychology and ongoing postgraduate training in psychotherapy and counselling at The School of Positive Psychology. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Northumbria, UK, and continues to develop her therapeutic practice through clinical supervision and reflective learning.
Before transitioning into psychotherapy, Stephenie spent 26 years in the creative industry, building a career that culminated in the role of Executive Producer. Working alongside people from different backgrounds has deepened her appreciation for the complexities of human relationships, the ways we communicate, and the stories we carry beneath the surface.
Her training includes exposure to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-informed approaches, Hypnotherapy, and Family and Marital Counselling. Her areas of interest include relationship difficulties, attachment patterns, emotional regulation, self-esteem, stress and burnout, identity, and life transitions. She is curious about how our relationships, gender expectations, and wider social and cultural environments shape our emotional wellbeing and sense of self.
Stephenie seeks to offer a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental space where individuals can feel heard and explore their experiences at a pace that feels manageable. She values an approach that makes room for each person’s circumstances, honours their choices, and supports a growing understanding of their needs and ways of relating. Her interest in gender equality also reflects her commitment to dignity, agency and belonging.
Outside of her work and studies, Stephenie is an animal lover and devoted meowmii to her cat, Jengjeng. She enjoys practising ballet and exploring art and interior spaces – interests that offer moments of restoration and nurture her appreciation for presence, curiosity and the small details that make each person’s world their own.
Stephenie currently sees clients under practicum placement at Sol Therapy. Her clinical work is supported through formal clinical supervision and duty of care provided by her training institution, alongside ongoing clinical oversight and governance within Sol Therapy’s supervisory framework. Her practice reflects Sol Therapy’s integrative and relational ethos – holding psychological understanding and human experience with care, steadiness, and thoughtful attention.
