Client Care Executive
Brian is a Client Care Executive at Sol Therapy, where he supports the client journey from the initial phase of contact. Working closely with both clients and therapists, he helps ensure that each step feels steady, clear, and thoughtfully held.
He holds a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. During his academic training and community work in Malaysia, he was involved in programmes supporting children with special needs, youth, and members of the wider community through psychoeducational initiatives, outreach work, and mental health programmes. These experiences strengthened his ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds with empathy, patience, and thoughtful communication.
In addition, Brian has received training in suicide response, equipping him with the skills to offer steady and attentive support to those experiencing emotional distress. Through this training, he learned the importance of presence, active listening, and responding with care during difficult moments. He believes deeply in the importance of creating spaces that feel safe, private, and supportive, where people can feel heard, understood, and respected when they reach out for help.
His interest in mental health is also shaped by personal experiences within his family. Witnessing a loved one struggle with depression and survive a suicide attempt deeply changed his understanding of mental health. It helped him recognise how emotional pain can remain unseen even in those who appear strong and resilient, and how many people carry these struggles quietly when support feels difficult to access or speak about openly.
This experience strengthened his commitment to mental health advocacy and deepened his belief that support should be accessible and that reaching out for help should be met with understanding and care. At Sol Therapy, he hopes to contribute to a client experience that feels respectful, thoughtful, and carefully supported from the very first interaction, while being part of a culture where mental health is approached with compassion, dignity, and openness.
