Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner

Sol Therapy - Svetlana Frolova

Svetlana (Lana) is a professional counselor and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner who blends traditional insight-oriented therapy with body-based approaches such as Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE™).

Before becoming a therapist, Svetlana spent many years in the corporate world, working across several countries. The relentless pace and pressure of that environment challenged her to explore the nature of stress and its impact on health and well-being. What began as a personal search to understand and manage stress grew into a lifelong journey of reconnecting with the self through practices of mindfulness, meditation, embodiment and healing.

After more than a decade of personal exploration, Svetlana followed her passion for inner work into a new career dedicated to healing and self-discovery. She completed her Master’s degree in Counselling in 2020 and started a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing® — a transformative approach that, for her, felt like coming home. Since 2023, Svetlana has been supporting clients as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner.

In her work, Svetlana invites clients to reconnect with their bodies as a profound resource for healing and transformation. She believes the body holds an innate wisdom — one that knows how to heal when we learn to listen. Her approach gently guides clients to build trust in this inner knowing, helping them move toward a greater sense of safety, balance, and wholeness.

Depending on each client’s needs, Svetlana primarily draws on Somatic Experiencing® while also integrating elements from talk-therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Reality Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

Svetlana’s hope is to help clients develop self-support and self-regulation skills they can carry into daily life — so healing becomes not just something that happens in session, but a way of living more freely, fully, and at ease.
