Darshinee is a Clinical Mental Health Therapist who believes deeply in the power of empathy, connection, and the human capacity for growth. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling and Guidance from the National Institute of Education (SAC-recognised programme) and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a second major in Psychology from Nanyang Technological University, where she graduated with Honours (Distinction).
Adopting an integrative therapeutic approach, she draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and mindfulness-based practices to meet each individual where they are — with sensitivity, curiosity, and care. With experience supporting children, youths, and adults across diverse settings, she has worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, low motivation, performance stress, and relational challenges.
Prior to her counselling career, she served in the public and social service sectors — experiences that reinforced her dedication to holistic, compassionate care and the importance of attending to both the emotional and social dimensions of wellbeing.
In her sessions, she strives to create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can explore their emotions, uncover their strengths, and progress toward healing and self-growth. She views therapy as a shared journey — one undertaken at the client’s own pace, with full respect for the unique experiences each person brings to the space. Fluent in English, Tamil, and Malayalam, she honours the richness of cultural diversity and the unique stories each person carries, believing that through presence and compassion, healing can gently unfold.
